Master Falconer

Master Falconer
On Thursday afternoon, James Eyring, master falconer from Pace University, paid us a visit. He demonstrated his art with owls and birds of prey. It's always a treat to have Jim with us.

Sensory Trail with Mr. Jordon & Mrs. Fugarino

Before starting the activity, students were engaged in a conversation about the five senses.  What would happen if one of your senses were taken away? Perhaps another sense would become stronger.  What senses do animals depend on to thrive in their habitat? A bird of prey has a keen sense of sight, while a deer has excellent hearing. Students embarked on a roped course blindfolded, while focusing on their sense of touch and hearing to get them to the end.
Reaching the end of the trail.
